Common questions
What counts as a vCPU?
You're billed on the total vCPU capacity of your worker nodes beyond the 30 free vCPUs included with every plan. Rates are €0.01/hr (€7.20/mo) per vCPU on Startup and €0.03/hr (€21.60/mo) per vCPU on Enterprise. For example, 50 worker vCPUs on Startup means 20 billable vCPUs: €0.20/hr, or €144/month.
Are controller nodes billed?
No. Only worker node vCPUs are counted toward billing. Controller nodes are free.
What is an annual commitment?
An annual commitment locks in a 20% lower per-vCPU rate for 12 months - €0.008/hr on Startup and €0.024/hr on Enterprise. You still pay monthly based on actual usage, with no large upfront payment. Enterprise plans require a 12-month commitment.
How does AI pricing work?
Ankra includes a 15,000 token trial. After that, you can bring your own Claude API key for free, or use Ankra's AI at €5/million input tokens and €25/million output tokens (Claude Opus 4.5).
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Changes take effect immediately and we prorate any billing differences. If you have an annual commitment, the discounted rate applies for the remainder of the term.
